We attended the Alpe-Adria Rectors Conference – International PhD Scientific Conference „Innovative technologies in biomedicine“organized by the University of Rijeka Doctoral School, which was held from 19th – 20th September 2019 at the University of Rijeka Departments building. We had an opportunity to present our PhD results in front of distinguished international and national scientists from the fields of biomedical research and life science as well as fellow doctoral students.

Iris Car, a PhD student presented poster and oral presentation : "Secretome analysis of BRAF V600E-mutant colon cancer cells with acquired resistance to vemurafenib."

PhD student Petra Grbčić presented a poster and oral presentation titled: "Sphingolipid metabolism is dysregulated in BRAF V600E mutant colon cancer cells resistant to vemurafenib." Her presentation was chosen as the best presentation at the event!

FEBS Advanced Proteomics summer school, held from 28th July-3rd August 2019 in Varna, Italy, was designed to provide graduate students and young postdoctoral scientists from academia and industry with insights into state-of-the-art proteomic technologies and applications in the life sciences.
